I'm sorry it's taken me weeks to respond. I've been thinking about your words and advice. I've always intended to share my journals with my children, but I think they need the censored version. Because my journals are such personal and intimate conversations with God, there are things in them that I'm not comfortable sharing with anyone, much less my children. I don't hold back when I write in my journals. They're for me and my sanity, not for anyone else. That said, I fully intend to share portions of the journals with my children, especially when I think that it would be helpful for them. Do you share your journals with your children?

I write journals also, for many years since I was a teenager and for many different reasons. Like you said, it helps me remember and helps me see how my journey has been so far. It also helps me move forward as I reflect about many situations in my life. You mentioned you asked your husband to burn your journals when you die, you might want to think twice about it and maybe leave it for your kids to learn from them.
