I am in love with Shauna Niequist. She speaks my language. I adored, "Cold Tangerines" and am currently reading, "Bittersweet", her newest. LOVE.

I love biographies too. I want to know people's stories.

Micah doesn't have a very long attention span right now, but we still read every day, and I hope she grows to love reading a much as I do.

What do you read to your girls?

I LOVE reading - but I'm a devourer of fiction. I need to read more non-fiction and I even have it on my list of things I need to do before I'm 30 (which is sneaking up on me every quickly!). However, some books that I've read lately and love are "The Help" (very Southern and lovely - actually even better in audio book because the readers have amazing voices), and "The Millennium Trilogy" which starts with "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo". These books are graphic and mysterious, but great reads. And one of my all time favorites is "The Red Tent" it's historical fiction based on Dinah from the 'Good Book'. :) I haven't read it in years, but definitely need to read it again. Hope you get a great book sent to you for your next read!

Leslie Ann, I understand you totally. I love to read, come from a family of readers and have always had a passion for reading. After having Kylie I never had time to read. Then after Chloe came along I never had time to even remember that I used to read. Only recently has the desire and small amount of free time resurfaced. Now when i am stressed and overwhelmed I try to pick something up and read for a little while. I love biographies. Other peoples lives and stories intrigue me. Who they were, who they are now, how they got from A to B. Now, I have found what I read has to be a relatively simple read. I don't have the attention span, memory or anything else for complicated, twisted plot lines. I need something simple I can walk away from and pick up at a later date without starting over. No matter what I hope to pass on my passing for reading to my girls. That would be a great legacy.

Seriously. I do not miss the days of compulsory reading. But at least I read then. I've heard good things about Jesus Manifesto, and it's on my wish list too. Other people may send you books for free, but Book Sneeze will only send you free books if you promise to blog about them. You should have a blog, Terence. Free books are a good reason, right?

Understand exactly how you feel. That first year of church history turned my love for books into a radical loathe quick and in a hurry. Hopefully this opportunity will jumpstart your reading pace again. I started reading Jesus Manifesto by Leonard Sweet and Frank Viola with very low expectations and really enjoyed it. I think I read it in under 48 hours and suprised myself in the process. Do I have to have a blog before people will send me free books?
