Speaking

I’ve uploaded some audio and video clips of my speaking engagements so you can get an idea of my style.  In addition to speaking from the podium or pulpit, I regularly teach small groups at our church, and I’ve enjoyed leading Bible studies at the University of North Alabama’s Baptist Campus Ministries over the past couple of years.  As usual, please let me know if you have trouble with any of the files.

Curtain Call

I prepared and delivered Curtain Call for Dr. Robert Smith’s preaching class at Beeson Divinity School.  It was in this class that I realized that my ministry would extend beyond the written word and include the spoken word as well.  This is a “Christmas” sermon, written to highlight the coming of Jesus Christ into our world.  Please let me know if you have any problems viewing the video.

Does God Care What We Do With Our Bodies?

On Wednesday, February 25, 2009, I returned to the BSU at Mississippi State (my alma mater) to speak at Noonday.  I was deeply honored by the chance to give back to a ministry that gave so much to me during my college years.  Every week, a different speaker addresses a question that the students have raised, answering it from a biblical worldview.  I wanted to approach the question “Does God care what we do with our bodies?” in a fresh way instead of giving the students the same “Bible answers” that are thrown at them all the time.
