In case you didn’t know, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and children everywhere will be exchanging sweet little cards. My little lady is one of those kids, and if you know me at all, you know that I couldn’t very well let her hand out some ugly store bought cards. SO, I came up with a sweet little design that incorporates her favorite candy: Smarties.

Aren’t they cute? Because I love you, I made a free printable file so you can make these sweet little Smarties Love Bug Valentines with your little one. They’re super simple to make, and your child will have fun handing them out in class.

All you’ll need is some bright white card stock, a paper cutter (or scissors), a pen, and some pretty washi tape. Let your kiddo fill in their name after you get them all cut out, and use the washi tape to secure the Smarties to the Valentines. Simple as can be!

Happy card-making! If you download the Valentines and enjoy them, please leave a comment to let me know. Thanks!
Until next time, grace and peace.

Toward the end of last week as I was engrossed in reading, I realized that I could do much better than the scrap of cardboard I was using for a bookmark, so I whipped up this little cutie for this week’s How To Tuesday. Apparently, I’m on a magnet crafting kick lately.
A set of these in cute patterns would be a nice little happy for a college student starting classes soon. They would also make good stocking stuffers for your favorite bookworms.
Ready to make your own? Here goes.

You’ll need some scrap paper, magnetic strips, a ruler, a pencil, scissors, and a scoring board (optional).

{1} Measure a 1 1/2 by 3 1/8 inch rectangle on your paper.
{2} Cut it out.
{3} Score/Fold your paper at 1 1/2 and 1 5/8 inches.
{4} Fold your paper into a “matchbook.”

{5} Cut two 1-inch magnetic strips.
{6} Remove adhesive backing from one of the strips and adhere to the inside of your bookmark.
{7} Stick your second magnet to the one you’ve already attached to your paper. Then remove backing.
{8} Fold bookmark over magnets, adhering the second magnet to the other side.

Slide the bookmark around a few pages in your current read, then step back and admire your handiwork!
Until next time, grace and peace.

It feels like it’s been ages since I shared a little DIY project with you, but that doesn’t mean that I’ve stopped collecting fabulous ideas. I love pugly pixel for many reasons, Katrina’s fun and easy tutorials being one of them.

Enter this pretty no-sew flower bouquet from Dana-Made-It. I love its whimsy, AND the fact that you need next to nothing to actually make the little blooms.
The best thing about these flowers? They don’t die.

I love Easter. It’s really one of my favorite times of year. I love that the very season reflects the new life ushered into the world by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I also love a good craft project {even if I don’t always have time to implement it}. When I stumbled across this sweet little secret message egg project, I knew that it would be a perfect project to tackle with Micah when she gets a little older.

What better way to spread the news of an empty tomb than by tucking a little note inside a blown-out egg? You can write anything you want on the note, from the tomb is empty to hope is alive to my redeemer lives to he is risen indeed. What a precious way to send Easter greetings to family and friends.
Of course, it would be easier to send that note via a plastic egg, but it wouldn’t be nearly as cute.

Until next time, grace and peace.
