This podcast is a recording from a weekly women’s Bible study in Brandon, MS. This week, we discussed 1 Samuel 20-24, which is the entire journey of David’s first flight from Saul. Even though David is running for his life in these chapters, he still finds help when he needs it, protects his people, and resists temptation, but Saul obsessively pursues him, terrorizes Israel, and indulges sinful desires. Throughout, the Lord faithfully and consistently protects and provides for his anointed king (and thus also for his people), while he brings the rebellious to ruin. The teaching corresponds with the material covered on p. 109-120 of the learner workbook, available for download from The Village Church.
